“Technique will be discussed in its relationship to the expression of ideas. The history of photography will be presented closely in terms of its relation to today’s status and tomorrow’s evolution.”
From leaflet New Vision on Photography, Institute of Design, Chicago, 1946
The Incubator is a new educational program established within The Centre, that offers a wide range of photography workshops and courses.
The programs offered will improve your photographic knowledge by building on your individual talents and experiences, answering all the questions you might have about photography.
The Incubator offers photography courses in a broad range of fields covering cutting edge digital technology as well as analog and alternative processes. We teach technical and conceptual competence in photography, catering to beginners, who want to learn basic camera and imaging techniques, as well as for experienced photographers who seek to develop high-level skills in specialized areas. We offer both, flexible personalized tuition for individuals, as well as engaging classes for a creative group of people.
The Incubator aims to contribute to the field of photography by providing practical, theoretical, and historical knowledge to build a community that is passionate about a medium, which has shaped our lives for almost two centuries.
Our tutors are internationally recognized practitioners and experienced educators who have taught photography at all levels, from community workshops to university.
The Incubator begins its autumn 2021 program with a series of face-to-face workshops in a COVID-19 safe environment.
The core purpose of the Mentoring Program is to facilitate starting-up photographers to find their feet in a daunting industry.
It is worth noting that we do not deal with photography, but with the business of photography, so don’t expect lighting courses, even if we might make healthy comments on your folio…
The Incubator film school will be available in 2021
