The Centre’s inaugural PHOTO FAIR brings together photographers to showcase and sell or swap their images and books in a community environment. 

In the community spirit of this Fair, we would encourage all participants to share social media postings and other promotions of the event in their circles of friends and businesses.

guidelines

  • Event date: July 31, from 10am – 4pm 
  • Event date: August 1, from 10am – 4pm
  • Event set up: on each day from 8.30 – 10am
  • Bookings can be made for one day or both days
  • Table/ wall cost is $75 per each day
  • A limited number of 21 tables available for each day – standard table size 1.8m plus a 2m of the wall space directly behind your table. 
  • You can bring prints or framed images, books or other printed items to sell, swap or give away. 
  • Display your prints on the table or hang them behind your table, using the gallery’s hanging system or 3M tape. Gallery doesn’t supply 3M tape.
  • You set your prices and look after your own sales. 
  • The Centre does not guarantee sales.
  • The Centre is not taking sales commissions from the sales. What you earn is yours. 
  • The Centre doesn’t offer cashless facility at the Fair.
  • The Centre doesn’t offer any insurance for your goods on the day.
  • Non-refundable payment for a table (required at registration time) will secure your table.
  • THE CENTRE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY IMAGES DEEMED UNACCEPTABLE FOR DISPLAY AT THE CENTRE. 
COVID GUIDELINES: We ask that everyone attending the PHOTO FAIR observes the following:
 
  • We recommend that you carry a face mask with you at all times and wear it if you can’t distance 1.5m

  • Sanitise your hands on entry and exit to the Centre

  • Register for Covid using the QLD registration Q-code at the entry.

  • If you are sick or generally feeling unwell, do not visit the Centre

  • Practice physical distancing of 1.5m where possible. 

FAQ

  • How do I book a table?
Bookings will open on June 14 at 10am.
 
The booking link will be displayed on this website page and the Centre’s FB page from June 14. 
 
  • How can I secure my booking?

Payments are processed by Square at the time of booking.

Major credit cards or bank transfers.  No AMEX. 

      • Is the event open to the general public?

Yes

  • Is there an entry fee for the public to visit the Photo Fair?

No

  • Is parking available?

Street parking

  • What are the sizes of the table and the wall space?

Table – 1.8m, wall space 2m, images can be double-hung.

  • Do I need to bring 3M tape? 

Yes, you need to bring your own 3M tape

  • What is the gallery hanging system?

Stainless steel wires and hooks. Your images will need

‘D’ rings on the back for hanging if they are framed. 

Bulldog clips can be used if your images are not framed. 

  • What are the Terms and Conditions for booking a table?

Non-refundable payment at the time of booking. Refunds are given only if the event is cancelled by the Centre.

  • Is the booking transferrable?

Yes

  • Can tables be shared?

Yes. The share needs to be organized by you directly.

One payment per table only. 

  • What can I sell, swap or buy at the Photo fair?

Photographic prints, framed or unframed, books,

and other photography-related printed items.

  • What do I do for food/ refreshments during the day?

BYO food and drinks. 

  • Will there be staff to mind my table?

No, servicing your table and your products 

are your own responsibilities. 

  • Can I book a wall space only?

No.
